Modifying file structure [Previous] [Main] [Next] To modify the fields of the DBF file, click File | Modify menu. Modify file structure dialog box opens. To add new field click New field and fill in the following fields: · Field - type in the name of the field   · Type - select the filed type: Character, Numeric, Date, Logical or Memo.   · Size - select the length of the field   To rename a field, double-click the corresponding line in the Name column. To set field size bases on max field length click "Optimize" button.
